Thank You God

Thank you for the dark of night;
For in the quiet I gain insight;
In that stillness You are very near;
I hear your heart so very clear.

Long ago you sent to Earth;
Your Son born of virgin birth;
You did it for your love of man;
Sometimes it’s hard to understand.

A love that takes away our sin;
A love that makes us clean within;
A great love that surpasses all;
When we respond to your call.

This gift that confounds the mind;
The greatest gift you’ll ever find;
Comes from God wrapped in love;
Postmarked from heaven above.

Don’t overlook God’s gift this year;
For the way to God is perfectly clear;
Jesus came as a baby – died on the cross;
He suffered our shame and paid the cost.

God is saying please accept my Son;
By His death your salvation was won;
I want to make it perfectly clear;
Jesus is the gift I have for you here.

The best gift you will ever receive;
Put your trust in Me and just believe.
